Grandin Village to Downtown Roanoke loop

Beginning in the Grandin Village, follow the Memorial Ave. bike lane until Vic Thomas Park at Black Dog Salvage. From there, follow the Roanoke River Greenway until Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Turn north on Jefferson St. and into downtown. From there, you'll follow side streets to several pieces in the central business district, head briefly into the Gainsborough neighhborhood, and then back south into Old Southwest and to Highland Park, where the marked bike route will bring you back to Wasena Park.

This route was developed in partnership with the Roanoke Arts Commission to celebrate the unveiling of In a Tangle, the sculptural bike rack installed in the Grandin Village on July 1, 2011.

Turn left onto Grandin Rd.
Turn right onto Memorial Ave.

Stop at Trojan Dog
Follow Memorial Ave. to Black Dog Salvage/Vic Thomas Park
Turn left onto Greenway Dr.

Stop at In Flux
Continue on Roanoke Rive Greenway

Stop at Wasena Bridge
Continue on Roanoke River Greenway
